The BME Competition was launched for the first time on 24 August 2022. The theme of the 2022 competition was “Myoelectric Game”. The IEEE Hong Kong Consumer Technology Society (CT) / Oceanic Engineer Society (OES) Joint Chapter was the technical sponsor of the competition. Student teams supervised by faculty members were judged by the panel based on problem solving and execution, appearance design and presentation during the competition.

The BME Competition aims to promote problem solving skills and innovation in biomedical applications, and to offer students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in biomedical engineering with fellow classmates in an interesting way.
