Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Social Sciences (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. C/R/147/09]

 

Projects

  1. Integrated Elderly Care: Database on adult development and aging
  2. Intergenerational Conflict at Work: The Role of Visual Attention in Affective and Behavioral Reactions to Conflict Situations

 

Duties

Responsible for project management, literature review and scale development; collect data amongst Hong Kong Chinese middle-aged and older adults; conduct statistical analysis and write reports; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Psychology, with at least 1 year’s experience in psychological research.  Experience in working with middle-aged adults and older people, good knowledge of advanced statistical analysis and longitudinal databases, high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), strong sense of responsibility and communication skills are required.

Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant. 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
