Assistant Communications Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer I) in the Communications and Public Relations Office [Ref. D/184/09]

 

The Office has a vacancy for public relations professionals to undertake media relations and promotion activities to promote the brand of the University.

Duties

Responsible for implementing media relations programmes, organising media events, writing press releases and feature articles; managing social media promotion and engagement, and publicity/promotional activities.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Journalism/Communications/Marketing or related disciplines with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience in events management, public relations and marketing communications. Candidates should have proven track record in events management, branding and marketing, and social media applications. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putongua), and the ability to work under tight schedule and perform diversified duties. Knowledge of higher education in Hong Kong and solid experience in handling branding/marketing projects for a sizeable corporation will be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
