Executive Officer I in the School of Creative Media [Ref. C/549/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Director of Administration, the appointee is responsible for a diverse range of activities including research degree programmes, scholarships and donations, student exchange and overseas learning programmes, committee work, reports and publications.  Key responsibilities include to:

  1. Undertake committee work for the School’s postgraduate programmes and oversee all administrative matters related to research degree programmes and research students;
  2. Coordinate management information, statistics and related analyses for preparing various types of reports on regular/ad hoc bases;
  3. Supervise the School’s implementation of initiatives to enhance student learning (e.g. exchange programmes and study tours) by working closely with partner institutions and managing various scholarships and other types of funding support; and
  4. Perform any other duties or take up other projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree with at least 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience.  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Putonghua and Cantonese); good organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills; ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure; and strong sense of responsibility are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
