Senior Campus Services Manager (at the rank of Assistant Registrar) in the Facilities Management Office [Ref. C/394/09]


Duties

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, the appointee is responsible for:

  1. Overseeing the daily operations of the Units (including AV and ELV Operational Support, Quarters Management, Event Management and Venue Operation, Landscape Services, General Supporting Services, Receiving and Despatching, and Transport Services);
  2. Formulating operational guidelines and instructions for the Units to achieve the delivery of quality service in a cost effective manner;
  3. Preparing tender documents and implementing the service and works in accordance with the operational needs and budget allocation;
  4. Monitoring and controlling the budget allocated and expenditure of the Units;
  5. Working closely with other Sections in the Office and relevant users/authorities to provide continuous improvement in facilities and services; and
  6. Performing any other assignments.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree in Facilities Management/Electronic Engineering or related disciplines with at least 15 years’ hands-on working experience, of which at least 5 years at managerial level.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong supervisory and interpersonal skills; being self-motivated and attentive to details; and ability to work independently with minimum supervision under tight budget and timeline are required.  Professional qualification in Facilities Management, Electronic and Electrical Engineering and/or Landscape Services would be an advantage. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
