Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Economics and Finance [Ref. B/396/09]


Duties

Perform administrative support to department and academic programmes; provide general support to academic committees, admission-related activities/projects and student/alumni activities; coordinate seminars/workshops/departmental events; support production of marketing and promotional materials; handle enquiries and student affairs matters; liaise with external parties, teaching staff and students; provide general clerical support; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with 3 years’ relevant experience.  Good experience in academic programme support, student servicing and event support; good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); being self-motivated with excellent organizational skills; and ability to work independently and as a team are required.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
