Executive Officer I/II in the Knowledge Transfer Office [Ref. B/260/09]

 

Duties

The appointee is expected to manage entrepreneurial funding schemes and support technology licensing administration in the Office, including:

  1. Manage entrepreneurial funding schemes such as “Technology Start-up Support Schemes for Universities (TSSSU)”, “Student Early Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (SEEDS)”;
  2. Prepare papers, agreements, reports and documents related to technology licensing and intellectual property (IP) commercialization;
  3. Develop, maintain and support database/application system for technology licensing and IP commercialization;
  4. Liaise with both internal and external parties; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

A good honours degree, with at least 2 years' relevant post-qualification experience.  Ability to exercise conceptual skills in interpreting policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements; strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills with the ability to attend to details and work independently in a fast-paced environment; strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).  Experience in or familiarity with start-up programmes and IP commercialization would be an advantage.

Candidates with more than 7 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
