Business Manager (EMBA Chinese) (at the rank of Supervisory Executive Officer) in the College of Business [Ref. B/152/09]

 

Duties

Provide high quality strategic planning and operational support to the EMBA (Chinese) senior management team and direct services in relation to programme marketing, delivery, academic coordination, student support, and stakeholder management to ensure the efficient and professional operation of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme Office.

Major duties include developing and executing a comprehensive marketing/recruitment programme, liaising with prospective students and assisting in the application procedures; supporting the programme directors in the marketing, admissions, students and stakeholders relationship management; overseeing the administration and development of the programme; ensuring that the operation and administration procedures of the programme comply with various policies of the University; and interacting with a range of different internal and external stakeholders. The appointee will also be involved in event organization and curriculum development, which include coordination with vendors, execution and on-site management of activities (such as orientations, annual dinners, student and alumni events, residential trips, overseas visits and seminars).  Working in weekends and irregular hours, and overseas travel are required.

Requirements

A good honours degree with at least 10 years’ relevant post-qualification experience particularly in programme marketing, management and development for senior executives in Mainland China.  Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua or Cantonese); excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills with a good business sense; being pleasant, self-motivated, energetic and a good team-player with prior experience in leading a team; and ability to prioritise conflicting workload with a variety of stakeholders, perform multi-tasking effectively and efficiently under pressure, and solve problems with tact and diplomacy are required. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
