Responsible for providing technical and IT support and administration to the Office of the Provost to facilitate academic planning and to improve teaching and learning experience. Major duties include: (a) developing and maintaining web applications and departmental websites; (b) providing IT support for data analytics initiatives of the Office to meet the evolving analysis and reporting needs; and (c) coordinating with other offices/external parties to provide support to University events.
A good honours degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. At least 7 years’ solid experience in SQL languages (including MSSQL/Oracle), programming languages (including C#/VB.NET/JAVA), web programming and SharePoint Lists; good knowledge of MS Office suite, Operating System, Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server and Mac OS; good analytical and communication skills; and ability to work under tight deadlines are required. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, administration of firewall and Networked-Attached Storage (NAS) will be a strong asset. Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Information Technology Officer II.

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
