Clerical Officer I/II in the Library [Ref. B/120/09]

 

Duties

Provide secretarial support to the University Librarian, assist in organizing meetings and events (including logistics arrangement, liaison with internal and external related parties), undertake clerical duties (such as drafting emails, memos, compilation of reports, and maintenance of accurate record systems), assist in general office administration, and perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 6 years' relevant working experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a good honours degree.  Candidates should also possess strong interpersonal skills, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as good knowledge of computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); be a good team player with positive working attitude, and able to handle multiple tasks, pay attention to details, work independently and under pressure. Candidates with less working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.



Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
