Assistant Finance Manager (Payroll) in the Finance Office [Ref. A/516/09]

 


Duties

Reporting to the Finance Manager (Payroll), the appointee will be responsible for the daily management and supervision of the following areas:

  1. Payroll and benefits related payment for full-time, part-time and temporary staff;
  2. Pension provision and contribution to ORSO and MPF pension schemes;
  3. Tax reporting for starters, leavers and annual filing of employer’s returns;
  4. Payroll forecast, budget and staffing cost allocation;
  5. Payroll system maintenance and enhancement; and
  6. Any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Human Resources or related disciplines and a qualified accountant with more than 5 years’ post-qualification experience; being self-initiative with good communication and strong analytical skills; and ability to work independently are required.  

Proficiency in PC skills, experience in Oracle Financials, Banner Payroll or other ERP systems and the implementation of large scale payment solution/improvement project would be an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
