Graduate Teaching Assistants in the Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin English Language Centre (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/843/09]

 

Duties

The appointees will work closely with a team of teachers on large-scale English enhancement courses, supporting instructors on course delivery and assessment for the Academic Year 2019/20.

Requirements

A good honours degree in English Applied Linguistics/TESOL or related disciplines (a Master’s degree will be regarded as a valuable additional qualification), with a relevant TESOL qualification (e.g. a Cambridge RSA CELTA).  Prior teaching or teaching support experience and knowledge of learning management systems (e.g. Canvas) are required, as are excellent skills in English and in interpersonal communication and the ability to work as part of a team.  Experience in teaching EAP at tertiary level and in the development of materials in both face-to-face and technology-mediated modes would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
