Fresh graduates in Hong Kong often experience stress when navigating career choices and searching for a meaningful path. In this dialogue, I will share my experiences from internships, job searching, and career development, together with practical strategies that can support young professionals. It will also highlight recent industry and market trends, as well as the growing influence of AI and technology in the workplace. The session aims to provide fresh perspectives and encouragement for building adaptable, purpose‑driven careers.
Natalie joined MTR in 2025 as Assistant Manager–Safety Management under the Corporate Safety, Quality and Environment Department. Her work focuses on strengthening the corporate Safety and Health framework, leading governance audits across business units, and driving safety campaigns and assurance activities, including initiatives that integrate innovation and AI-driven solutions to enhance organizational safety performance.
As a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Natalie has extensive experience in railway consultancy across Asia, specializing in project coordination, rail planning, station design, passenger flow analysis, pedestrian modelling, risk management, and Occupational Safety and Health. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Energy Science and Engineering from City University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts in Transport Policy and Planning from The University of Hong Kong, awarded under the UGC Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme.
As a Professional Registration Mentor, Natalie has guided numerous young engineers toward achieving Chartered Engineer status since 2023, fostering talent and capability within the transport industry. She was honorably awarded the IET Hong Kong Young Woman Engineer of the Year Award 2024 – Meritorious (CEng Section), a testament to her remarkable contributions to engineering and professional leadership.
Beyond engineering, she is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) and Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), dedicated to promoting holistic wellness through Hatha Yoga, Family Yoga, and Aerial Stretch for both adults and children.
