Two SEE Undergraduate Students Awarded the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2026

The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) is proud to announce that two of its outstanding undergraduates, Ms. Leung Yuen Ying Wendy and Mr. Lou Pak Yin Wayne, have been named recipients of the prestigious Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2026.
This highly competitive scholarship, valued at up to HK$150,000 per student, provides a transformative platform for students to broaden their international horizons through overseas / Mainland attachments, mentorships, and service projects.
Innovators in Sustainability

Ms. Leung Yuen Ying Wendy
Year 3, Energy Science and Engineering
Wendy is deeply committed to addressing the complexities of the circular economy. Her academic focus centers on developing scalable solutions for waste management and resource recovery. As part of her scholarship objectives, she aims to join an attachment at the University of Oxford, where she plans to specialize in electrochemical recycling and the advancement of low-carbon technologies. Reflecting on the award, she noted: “This scholarship empowers me to turn innovative ideas into real-world impact, driving scalable green technologies for a more sustainable future.”

Mr. Lou Pak Yin Wayne
Year 3, Environmental Science and Engineering
Wayne describes this recognition as: “An unforgettable experience.” He chose to pursue Engineering due to a long-standing interest in innovation first sparked in his secondary school Design and Technology classes. Since joining SEE, his vision has been further shaped by sustainability principles, propelling him to seek creative breakthroughs within the environmental sector. Wayne intends to use the scholarship to visit world-class institutions in Singapore and London, where he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the societal challenges involved in promoting sustainability.
The School of Energy and Environment supports students like Wendy and Wayne as they bridge the gap between academic theory and innovative practical application. Their success highlights the School’s commitment to advancing Sustainability and Green Technology on a global stage.
