SEE and Partner Colleges Host STEM Career Fair 2026: Connecting Talent with Opportunity
The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), together with the College of Computing, College of Engineering and College of Science, successfully co‑organized the STEM Career Fair 2026, the first career fair of the year and the only one dedicated exclusively to STEM fields. The event provided students with an invaluable opportunity to explore career pathways, connect with industry leaders, and gain insights into the evolving job market.

The fair brought together seventy‑one esteemed employers and two professional associations, namely the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. Students had the opportunity to engage directly with company representatives, explore internship and graduate positions, and make use of a wide range of career resources. Held on 28 January 2026 at CityUHK, the event drew strong participation and enthusiasm from across the University community.

A series of workshops and support services were offered to help students prepare for their professional journeys. These included one‑day mentorship sessions with HR and technical experts from eleven industries, styling and image workshops to enhance professional presence, CV workshops led by senior HR professionals, individual consultations on career planning and interview skills, and access to job search functions and career resource booths. Together, these activities equipped students with practical skills and confidence as they took their first steps into the STEM workforce.

To further strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, a luncheon was held on the same day at the City Chinese Restaurant. Senior management from participating companies, HR representatives, college leadership, and departmental representatives came together for networking and exchange. The luncheon served as a valuable platform for dialogue and reinforced the strong partnership between CityUHK and the professional community.

The STEM Career Fair 2026 marked a successful start to the year, offering students a unique opportunity to kickstart their future in STEM while fostering meaningful connections between academia and industry. SEE is proud to have supported this initiative, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing talent and advancing sustainability, energy innovation, and environmental leadership.
