The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is delighted to announce that Prof. Edwin Tso, Associate Dean (Internationalisation and Outreach), has been elected as a member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences (YASHK). His membership will officially commence on 1 January 2026.

YASHK, a chapter of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences (ASHK), bringstogether outstanding young scientists committed to advancing science, innovation, and technology in Hong Kong. Its mission includes promoting the development and teaching of science and technology, enhancing public understanding of scientific issues, and supporting Hong Kong’s emergence as a centre of scientific excellence.

Prof. Tso is among twelve distinguished scholars elected this year, in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements and contributions to scientific progress. His election reflectsnot only his leadership in thermal energy systems and sustainable building technologies, but also his dedication to mentoring young scientists and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
