An overview on the nature and works of The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) will be presented in the talk. The membership system of CIWEM and the application process will also be reviewed. The role of the Hong Kong Branch will be introduced particularly on its operation and the organized activities. Finally, the career path through the CIWEM will also be shared.
Ir Dr Clement Lau has just retired from the Construction Department, HKIVE after working for more than 25 years with specialised in hydraulics and hydrology. He developed the Higher Diploma programmes in Environmental Engineering in the Department and was the Programme Leader since then.
Ir Dr Lau is the Past Chairman of CIWEM HK (2018 – 2019). He is also an MICE, MIStructE, MHKIE and MHKIQEP. He served as the Organising Committee and Technical Committee of a number of local and overseas’ technical conferences.
