SEE Postdoctoral Researcher Dr. Zhixiong DING Receives Best Poster Award at CEBE2025

Under the supervision of Prof. Wei WU, Dr. Zhixiong DING, postdoctoral researcher from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) was awarded the Best Poster Award at the 4th International Conference for Global Chinese Academia on Energy and Built Environment (CEBE2025). The award-winning poster, titled “High-efficiency and Low-carbon Solar Cooling Technology Based on Absorption Thermal Battery”, showcases innovative research in sustainable thermal energy systems. This recognition underscores the continued excellence of Prof. Wu’s research group in advancing cutting-edge solutions for thermal energy storage.

Held in Xi’an, China from 1 to 4 August 2025, CEBE2025 was jointly hosted by Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Colorado in the United States and University of Hull in the United Kingdom. The conference serves as a global platform for Chinese scholars to collaborate, exchange ideas, and showcase cutting-edge research in energy and environmental science, with a particular focus on the themes of “Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality”. Since its inception, the CEBE conference series has attracted strong participation from the academic community, with previous editions held in Chengdu (2019, 2021) and Shanghai (2023), each drawing over a thousand attendees.
