Biography
Dr. Theng graduated from the University of Sydney and is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice. He holds a Master's in companion animal medicine (Massey University), Membership in Small Animal Medicine, and advanced certifications in oncology, immunotherapy, integrative therapies (acupuncture, palliative care), radiological engineering and health physics, and public health.
A seasoned clinician, Dr. Theng has worked across private practice, advanced oncology referrals, and volunteer roles – including providing essential veterinary care in underserved communities such as SPCA Fiji. As Veterinary Director of a Hong Kong small animal clinic, he leads with a commitment to evidence-based medicine. Previously, as a core clinician at the city's first veterinary oncology referral center,
Dr. Theng collaborated with remote veterinary oncologists and internists to implement advanced treatment, including radiotherapy, PET-CT, and I-131 for veterinary use, becoming one of the first practitioners in Hong Kong to deliver these treatments to pets locally.
