Biography
Dr. Sayaka OKUSHIMA is from Japan, and she graduated from The Royal Veterinary College (London, UK) in 2009. She completed a rotating internship, followed by a three-year residency training for anaesthesia and analgesia, at a busy private multidisciplinary hospital in Cambridgeshire, UK. In 2016, Dr. Sayaka passed the examination for the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, becoming a specialist in anaesthesia and analgesia. She worked at a busy veterinary referral hospital in the Midlands (UK) for 8.5 years before moving to Hong Kong.
Dr. Sayaka loves the art of anaesthesia that makes life-saving interventions possible, while serving as the guardian for each patient's life and wellbeing. She loves all animals but particularly cats, and she moved from the UK to Hong Kong with five demanding felids. During her spare time, she is an avid bookworm, pianist and loves playing badminton.
