Biography
Dr. LEE brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to the veterinary field. He graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with first-class honours from the University of Sydney in 2003. He later obtained a Master of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from Murdoch University in 2009. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) in Avian Health and Small Animal Medicine.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. LEE has gained extensive business management and leadership experience. He owned a large veterinary hospital in Sydney, Australia, from 2007 and expanded it into one of the most extensive multi-site general practice veterinary groups in Australia with eight sites. He was the managing director and chief veterinarian until the end of 2021. In January 2022, he joined VetPartners, the largest veterinary hospital company in Australia and New Zealand, where he held various roles across transformation, marketing, and operations. Before his current role in Hong Kong, he served as the Executive Director of Specialty and Emergency, overseeing 13 Specialists and Emergency Hospitals.
Dr. LEE has also taken up key leadership roles in the industry, serving as the President of the Australian Small Animal Veterinarians Group of the AVA from July 2021 to July 2024. This group represents the most prominent specialist group of the Australian Veterinary Association, supporting over 1,200 companion animal veterinarians. Additionally, he was the Chair of the Accredited Veterinary Hospitals Scheme of the ASAV from July 2020 to July 2022, responsible for assessing leading veterinary hospital standards of care in Australia.
