SPORTSMANSHIP

the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China (USFHK) for nine
times, CityU strives to promote sportsmanship and a “Healthy U” with
the unified effort of staff, coaches and student athletes. The Wellness for
All campaign comprising workshops, health talks and exhibitions, fitness
assessments, competitions and outdoor pursuits has been on the move
for 5 years since January 2018 to encourage regular physical activities and
healthy lifestyle. It has greatly benefited students with regular practice to
improve their stamina and endurance, mood, discipline as well as boosting
                    of their self-confidence and self-esteem.

             CityU Sports Teams

Students with a sporting talent are recruited across campus to join the CityU Sports
Teams managed by professional coaches. To balance sports and studies is challenging
yet rewarding for the student-athletes. It’s all about time management, priority setting
and persistence with a positive mindset. On this path of becoming a professional
player, the current 400 active athletes specialising in 18 sports events are striving their
ways through with great determination and mutual support in the teams. Throughout
their years of study, they have the opportunity to participate in competitions organised
by leading sports bodies. Outstanding athletes will also be selected to represent
Hong Kong to compete in the World University Games and other international sports
              competitions held locally and overseas.
