Studying law might not have left
Livia much free time, but Livia took it
upon herself to enroll in a variety
of extracurricular experiences. Her
horizons broadened and she learnt to be
more focus and disciplined.

“The experience in the Administrative
Service Summer Internship Programme
was eye-opening indeed. Apart
from acquiring knowledge of formal
writing skills through preparing 15
speeches and official documents for
the District Office, I also gained
a deeper understanding of “Public concerns”
which I have to study in my discipline.
The programme enriched my knowledge
as to how the government made their
decisions in different contexts with varied
concerns. All these are significant for my
future career.

Her commitment to serve the community
didn’t cease with the ending of the
internship. She participated in the Law
Society of Hong Kong from 2020 to 2021
as a Student Mentor, offering advice to
mentees’ projects regarding legal issues.
