Visit to International Commerce Centre (ICC) on 22 October 2016

Students taking the undergraduate course, SEE3103 Energy Efficiency for Buildings, offered by the School participated in the visit to the International Commerce Centre (ICC) on 22 October 2016 (Saturday).

ICC is a composite building with offices, restaurants, an observation deck and a hotel. It is equipped with a wide range of advanced building services and yet taking into account of being environmentally friendly. Some of the special features including the automatic cleaning fresh water cooled air-conditioning system and double deck destination lift control system. ICC has also been voted by the public as one of the Hong Kong People Engineering Wonders in the 21st Century by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. During the visit, students have learnt the energy saving and waste management strategies that have been implemented in the building.
