Dr. Zengguang Sui Honored with Innovative Young Scholar Award at SBEE2025

The International Conference on Sustainable Building Energy Engineering (SBEE2025) was held successfully in Hong Kong from 6 to 8 August 2025. The conference brought together leading academics, young researchers, and industry experts from around the world to exchange knowledge on building energy efficiency, renewable energy applications, and low-carbon technologies. Dr. Zengguang Sui, a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), and a member of Prof. Wei Wu’s Building Energy and Smart Technology (BEST) Group, was awarded the prestigious “Innovative Young Scholar Award” at SBEE2025. This highly competitive award was conferred on only five young scholars globally, in recognition of their research excellence and innovation in the field of sustainable energy engineering.

At the conference, Dr. Sui delivered an academic presentation titled “An Adaptive Passive Battery Thermal Management Strategy with Dual-Functionality of Effective Cooling and Fire Resistance”. In recognition of his innovative research methodology and significant academic contributions, he was presented with the Innovative Young Scholar Award.

The recognition highlights Dr. Sui’s individual research achievements and reflects the strong scientific capabilities and international influence of Professor Wu’s BEST Group in advancing sustainable energy and building energy efficiency.
