Voting Information
A poll will be held to elect one undergraduate student to fill the elected undergraduate student seats on the University Council. The polling will be conducted online
Polling period:
Start: 19 January 2026 (Monday), 10:00 a.m.
End: 23 January 2026 (Friday), 10:00 a.m.
Voting platform: https://cityu.simplyvoting.com/
The poll will be available on the system at the polling start time, and a separate email will be sent to Electors at the Polling start date. Please log in using your CityUHK credentials to cast your vote.
We encourage you to review the candidates’ manifestos on the Election Website and make an informed decision. Kindly note:
- Students who, as of 10 October 2025, are registered in undergraduate degree programmes in accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations for Undergraduate Degrees, and who maintain such status at the start of the polling period, are eligible to vote. This excludes incoming exchange students, visiting students and students of the City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan).
- Each eligible student can cast one vote only.
- No proxy vote will be accepted.
- All votes will be treated as confidential.
- The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will be declared elected.
- The polling result will be announced on 26 January 2026.
- The elected candidate will be recommended for appointment to the University Council, with the term of service running from the date of appointment until 31 December 2026.
