Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a facility that helps your home computer to be treated as a "local" computer on campus ( i.e. computer on campus bearing University IP address) when it connects in a secure way (i.e. all network traffic is encrypted) to the campus network via any Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other organisations. This means you can use any campus facility at home in the same way as if you were working on campus.
