ABSTRACT
Duality mappings in reflexive Banach spaces are operators from these spaces into their duals having good surjectivity properties. The properties of duality mappings are heavily influenced by the geometry of the spaces. The influence of the geometry of Sobolev spaces with variable exponents 1 ( ) W0 ,p x (like smoothness and uniform convexity) on the properties of duality mappings defined on such spaces is studied and some applications are given.
