Placing a Request directly on CityUHK LibraryFind
Step 1:
Always start your search at CityUHK LibraryFind to see if the Library holds the required item.

Step 2:
If you are not able to find the required item, you may click “expand your search” to locate the item from other libraries.
Click “Get it for me from other libraries” if the required item is listed on the result list

Request Type 1: Physical Book Request
- If a physical copy is available, “Get a physical copy” option will be displayed.
- Click “GET IT”
- If the item record includes multiple volumes, please specify the volume you are requesting. Leave this field blank if not applicable.
- And then “SEND” to request the physical copy.


Request Type 2: Digital Book Chapter Request
- If you only need ONE chapter of the item, click “GET IT” under “Need a chapter?”,
- Remember to fill in the key citation information, for example Chapter Title, Chapter Number, and/or Pages. Please note than request will not be processed if requesting more than ONE chapter.
- Check the Copyright Declaration box, and then click “SEND” to request a chapter.


Request Type 3: Digital Article Request
- For a journal article, only “Get a digital copy” option will be displayed. click “GET IT”
- Then check the Copyright Declaration box, and then click “SEND” to request the article.


Smart tips for users:
- Always remember to sign in to your “My Library Account” to initiate searching.
- If the Library holds the searched item, the following options will be displayed
- “Online resource” (digital format),
- “Available” (physical format),
- or both will be displayed.
- Then No request option will be displayed if full text is available for the required item.
- Please note that requests will not be filled if the Library holds the required item (either in digital or physical format).
- If the Library holds an e-version of the required item, but you would like to get a physical copy from other UGC Libraries, please access their Libraries in person with your JULAC Library Cards.
Exceptional Use of Blank Form
*Blank Form service is accessible only to designated user groups- If the required item does not appear on the result list, you may fill in a blank form to request our Library staff to source a required item from our partner libraries.
- Please provide accurate citation information as much as possible to shorten the processing time.
- Request with incorrect and/or missing citation information may not be filled.
