Network Operation Centre (System Monitoring)

Multiple data centres maintained by the Computing Services Centre (CSC) are providing a 24 x 7 x 365 IT infrastructure for various computer platforms. To sustain high availability and reliable services, systems are implemented with various levels of redundancy. A highly skilled Operations Team is required to arrange planned setups as well as responding to unplanned incidents. To achieve the goals, services offered include: (i) data centre monitoring; (ii) housekeeping / routine operational duties; (iii) handling queries and jobs related to staff accounts; (iv) server rack management and laying of UTP / fiber cables; (v) mounting or dismounting servers/appliances on site; and (vi) enforcing access and inventory control upon the data centres of the CSC.
