Occupancy and People Counting Solutions

In order to improve efficient use of space for university users, the Computing Services Centre (CSC) equips occupancy and people counting sensors in communal meeting rooms, multi-function rooms, conference rooms and study rooms. The sensors provide an aggregate count of the number of people in a particular area with the necessary data for executing automated tasks such as energy conservation, user-notifications for booked venues, venue availability reminders as well as access permissions. Data management and analytics support are also provided for future space planning purposes.
