New Student Orientation
Orientation Programme
To help new students get acquainted with the CityUHK community as soon as possible, Global Engagement Office will organise a series of induction programmes exclusively for non-local students before the semester starts. The Orientation Programme comprises two parts:
1. Pre-arrival Online Orientation via Zoom:
a) Online Pre-Arrival Orientation Session 1: 10:30 - 11:30 (HK Time) on 5 August 2026 (Details sent by email)
b) Online Pre-Arrival Orientation Session 2: 17:00 - 18:00 (HK Time) on 11 August 2026 (Details sent by email)
2. Orientation after Arrival:
You are strongly advised to participate in the University Orientation Programme. The Orientation Programme of Semester A, 2026 - 27 begins from 24 August 2026. It is very important that you attend orientation activities to get yourself familiarised with the people and campus resources at CityUHK.
We recommend arriving in Hong Kong on 24 August 2026 (Monday) if possible and attending the orientation. Details and the schedule of the Orientation Programme can be found here.
Airport Pickup Services
Free shuttle bus service will be provided from 24 - 25 August 2026 for students to get to the student residence from the Hong Kong International Airport. . Students should register on or before 12 August 2026. Registration details shall be sent via email. A confirmation email will be sent to you in due course after registration.
