YEUNG Yuet (Marketing) made the most of her exchange at the University of Amsterdam.

My exchange experience at the University of Amsterdam has been truly transformative. Initially, I faced some challenges adjusting to the new academic environment, but I quickly learned how to overcome them. One of the highlights was meeting classmates from different nationalities, which greatly enriched my cultural understanding.

The atmosphere at UvA is markedly different from CityU. Here, students are encouraged to express their opinions openly, fostering a vibrant and dynamic classroom environment. I particularly enjoyed the debate sessions, which were both fun and inspiring. I found that international students are often more willing to speak out, creating an inclusive and engaging learning space.

Beyond academics, I have fallen in love with the culture and people of Amsterdam. The city’s chill vibe makes it a joy to explore. I had the opportunity to visit iconic places such as the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House, which deepened my appreciation for art and World War II history.

Overall, this exchange not only broadened my academic horizons but also allowed me to create unforgettable memories. I am truly grateful for this enriching experience.
