FUNG Tak Wa
FUNG Tak Wa (Bachelor of Arts - Media & Communication) expanded his horizons and explored the richness of arts and culture at Peking University.
My exchange semester at Peking University has been a truly enriching academic journey. The courses I took offered numerous practical exercises and opportunities that allowed me not only to develop professional skills but also to apply them in real-world settings.
One of the highlights of my experience was the course ‘Creative Communication Management’. Through this course, I participated in a one-month programme in collaboration with NGOs and ByteDance. During the programme, I had the chance to use ByteDance’s online business platform, Ocean Engine, to manage the official TikTok account of the NGO ‘银杏家园’, which provides free lunches to underprivileged elderly people.
This project gave me hands-on experience in various areas, including materials collection , short video editing, media writing, platform operation, digital marketing, digital advertising, and data analysis. Beyond professional skills, this experience was deeply meaningful because it contributed to a charitable cause—raising funds and supporting people in need through our efforts.
Overall, this project and the exchange semester as a whole have been some of the most memorable and rewarding parts of my academic journey. I truly enjoyed my time at Peking University and am grateful for the opportunities it provided.
