Anika MISHRA
Global Mindset in Engineering.
Aerospace Engineering student Anika MISHRA has completed a transformative exchange at Chung‑Ang University, South Korea. Immersed in a collaborative environment, she sharpened the key project management and cross‑cultural skills she is ready to bring into her future aerospace endeavors. My four‑month exchange at Chung‑Ang University has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my university life. Immersed in a supportive and collaborative academic environment, I not only deepened my understanding of complex engineering concepts but also built meaningful connections with professors and peers from diverse backgrounds. The interactive class structures and strong emphasis on group discussions pushed me out of my comfort zone, sharpening both my project management and communication skills. Navigating daily life in Seoul—from practicing my Korean in everyday conversations to exploring the city’s vibrant culture—gave me a sense of belonging far beyond the classroom. I greatly appreciated the university‘s buddy program and the incredible warmth of the exchange community, which made my transition smooth, welcoming, and enriching. Beyond the academics, this experience fueled my independence and resilience, instilling in me a stronger sense of confidence and an enduring curiosity to explore new environments. Looking back, I am so grateful for the profound academic and personal growth I have achieved, and I am excited to carry these lessons forward into my future endeavors. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone seeking a truly transformative and culturally immersive journey.
