AMANDA Clairine Jane

Our international student AMANDA Clairine Jane from Indonesia, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Global Business Systems Management and Finance has built strong global and financial expertise during her exchange studies in Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea.

My exchange experience in South Korea has been a truly transformative chapter of my academic and personal journey. Throughout the program, I gained valuable knowledge about South Korea’s economic development, education system, and social structure. More importantly, I developed a deeper understanding of how cultural values shape business practices, communication styles, and everyday life. Observing how Korean society balances tradition with globalization and modernization has broadened my global perspective and challenged my previous assumptions.

The experience also allowed me to develop essential skills. Living and studying in a foreign environment strengthened my cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. I became more confident in working in diverse teams, managing my time independently, and navigating unfamiliar situations. Learning basic Korean further enhanced my ability to connect with local students and better appreciate the culture.

On a personal level, the exchange made me more open-minded, resilient, and self-reliant. I learned to respect diverse perspectives and became more aware of my role as a global citizen Moving forward, I aim to continue improving my Korean language skills and actively seek international and cross-cultural experiences. By setting clear goals, engaging actively, and reflecting regularly, I hope to apply these global insights to my future academic pursuits and career development.
