TRYEngineering on Campus in Hong Kong 2025, an initiative by IEEE Hong Kong Section with City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) as one of the technical sponsors, was successfully hosted from 17 to 19 July 2025 at CityUHK and Saint Francis University. It aimed to inspire young minds to explore AI’s potential in addressing global challenges. The event, themed "AI for Humanity", brought together 55 secondary school students aged 12 to 18 from 42 schools to explore artificial intelligence (AI) through hands-on projects, workshops, and real-world industry exposure.

“We are thrilled to provide a platform for secondary students to engage with AI technology and experience university life,” said Professor Steve Wong, Associate Vice-President (Community Engagement) at CityUHK. He also expressed gratitude to the organiser for offering study grants, enabling students with financial needs to participate at a reduced fee. A total of 12 students from CityUHK Connect schools and other local schools received these grants, ensuring broader access to this transformative experience.
