Discovery of a protein that promotes cancer metastasis

Professor Michael Yang Mengsu, Yeung Kin Man Chair Professor of Biomedical Sciences, led a multi-institution team to conduct research and discovered a novel protein, Lysyl hydroxylase 1, which is a key factor in promoting cancer cell migration and metastasis in liver cancer and pancreatic cancer.
