Innovative Electrocatalytic Water-Vapor Hydrogen Production Technology (WVE)
The electrocatalytic water-vapor hydrogen production technology (WVE) is an innovative solution that harnesses abundant water resources, including seawater, rainwater and tap water, to support hydrogen economy and carbon neutrality goals. WVE overcomes the limitations of conventional seawater electrolysis, ensuring efficient hydrogen production across diverse water sources. It reduces energy consumption from 54.5 kWh/kg H₂ to 43.6 kWh/kg H₂, saving 20% energy and lowering hydrogen production costs by 40%. Valuable by-products such as oxygen and freshwater further enhance its commercial potential. WVE promises broad applications in marine transport, household devices, and land mobility, and is poised for large-scale commercialization and industrial adoption.
