Low-carbon Thin Friction Course (LTFC)
Low-carbon Thin Friction Course (LTFC), developed by CyberPAV, addresses the pressing need to renew aging road pavements in Hong Kong, where some surfaces have exceeded their service life and now compromise safety and efficiency. Traditional methods, such as milling and overlay or AFC coatings, are costly, environmentally damaging, and rely on non-renewable resources. LTFC offers a sustainable, high-performance alternative that reduces pavement wear and extends service life. Its thin, simple design enables quicker application, while the use of recycled materials significantly cuts costs and carbon emissions. Backed by extensive laboratory testing and real-world validation, LTFC presents a practical, eco-friendly solution for modern urban infrastructure.
