Dr Michael (Chen, Xiaowei) is a seasoned technology executive and cross-functional leader with over 20 years of experience driving innovation and growth in cloud computing and Al across Asia. Currently serving as Deputy Executive Manager of IT Capability Development at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC).

Prior to HKJC, he has worked at AWS, Deloitte, and various startups in Cloud Computing and AI areas, where he demonstrated expertise in scaling cloud adoption, managing large-scale projects, and fostering partnerships with global tech giants like AWS, Google, Microsoft,  Alibaba, and ByteDance. A certified expert in 40+ cloud certifications and agile methodologies, he combines technical depth with strategic acumen to align technology with business outcomes.

Dr Chen holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Hong Kong Baptist University and an EMBA from HKUST. Beyond his corporate roles, he actively contributes to the tech community as a public speaker, author, and mentor, advising institutions like the Hong Kong Computer Society, PMI and HK Tech300.
