YEUNG Yeuk Yee

University College London

YEUNG Yeuk Yee (Bachelor of Science) stepped beyond the classroom and into new experiences during her exchange semester at the University College London (UCL), UK.

My exchange experience at University College London was truly unforgettable and transformative. Academically, I was inspired by the interactive teaching methods and the culture of independent learning. Through chapter quizzes, suggestion boxes, and meaningful peer discussions, I not only deepened my understanding of physics but also developed a new way of learning.

Outside the classroom, I joined societies and events like the Quantum Society’s fireside chat and social-affairs clubs. These experiences expanded my horizons and gave me insights into future careers and global issues. Cultural exploration was equally rewarding. From the festive lights on Carnaby Street to historical landmarks like the Tower of London and Oxford Castle, I was constantly learning and appreciating the depth of British culture.

Of course, there were challenges. Adjusting to a new environment and navigating cultural and academic differences wasn’t easy️. However, just like a plum blossom blooming in early spring, I learned to adapt, stay resilient, and grow through every difficulty.

This journey has made me more independent, confident, and open-minded. I am genuinely grateful for the chance to study, explore, and connect in such a vibrant and welcoming community. To embrace challenges and bloom with resilience — this will always be the motto of my exchange journey.
