From Hong Kong to Dublin!

WONG Tsz Hin (Bachelor of Business Administration) discovered Irish charm, culture, and business insights at University College Dublin

I am heartfully thankful to City University of Hong Kong for facilitating the exchange with the University of Dublin. This is surely one of the best opportunities to pursue my studies further in a foreign country and broaden my horizons.

I would be lying if I said this experience was all smooth and without a hitch. It has been both challenging and enjoyable. The exposure to a full English environment was challenging—but in a good way—especially as I was homestaying in Dublin city centre, where I met my lovely host family. They taught me a lot about Irish culture: how meaningful Saint Patrick’s Day is to them and how the Irish stay united. Of course, I shared our Chinese culture with them as a kind gesture. We celebrated Chinese New Year together, and I shared stories about its traditions and meaning. It was truly heartwarming, and I will treasure this memory for the rest of my life.

Once again, I am thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity provided by City University of Hong Kong.
