PETCHPRAKOB Ratchanon
PETCHPRAKOB Ratchanon, our international student from Thailand (Bachelor of Business Administration - Business Decision Analytics) expanded his global outlook and analytical skills during his exchange at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
Exchanging in Maastricht has been one of the most enriching journeys of my life, both academically and personally. Studying at Maastricht University challenged me in the best possible way. The Problem-Based Learning system and the academic culture are highly intensive, as the university expects students to spend at least eight hours per week studying outside of class. This structure pushed me to be more disciplined, proactive, and engaged in my studies, significantly strengthening my analytical thinking and academic independence.
Maastricht itself is a vibrant student city, which made the transition to a new environment much easier. With countless student associations, academic societies, and social activities, there were always opportunities to connect with others. It was easy to make friends from all over the world, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful relationships that extended beyond the classroom.
Beyond academics, living in Europe during the fall and winter felt truly magical. The changing seasons, the cosy atmosphere, and the rich cultural heritage made every place feel special. Traveling between cities and countries was incredibly accessible, allowing me to experience diverse cultures, cuisines, and traditions within a short time.
Overall, my exchange in Maastricht provided me with invaluable academic growth, cultural exposure, and lifelong memories. It is an experience I will always be grateful for an experience I will always be grateful for and one that has shaped my outlook on both learning and life.
