MA Man Ling

Her studies in psychology allowed her to dive into research, theory, and real-world applications, while also discovering the charm of Dutch culture along the way.
I am truly grateful for this exchange experience, as it has been far more meaningful than I ever expected. Studying and living in another country is completely different from visiting as a tourist for a short time. Being here has allowed me to experience daily life in a new culture, rather than just observing it from the outside.
During my time abroad, I have had the opportunity to make genuine friendships, build valuable connections, and explore places that reflect the country’s history and way of life. More importantly, this experience has challenged me to step outside my comfort zone . Living thousands of miles away from home has taught me how to manage responsibilities on my own, adapt to unfamiliar situations, and approach difficulties with greater resilience.
Through this journey, I have become more independent and confident, both academically and personally. The challenges I faced helped me grow, and the support I received from the people around me made this experience even more rewarding. Looking back, choosing to participate in this exchange program was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has been a defining chapter of my life, one that I will always value and carry with me as I move forward.
