Bridging Classrooms and Global Markets
Huge congratulations to our BBA Finance student, Jiaji YU, on completing a transformative outbound exchange semester at the City University of New York (CUNY).
Diving into a fast-paced global financial hub taught him vital real-world independence, critical thinking, cross-cultural resilience, and the ability to thrive in today’s business landscape.
Studying abroad as an exchange student has been one of the most transformative and rewarding journeys of his academic life. Stepping onto a brand-new campus, he was initially nervous about adapting to a different educational system, a fast-paced environment, a new cultural atmosphere. However, thanks to the patience of professors and the kindness of local peers, he quickly integrated into CUNY’s vibrant learning community.
In the classroom, diverse teaching methods and dynamic, open discussions broadened his academic horizons, encouraging him to think critically and express ideas with confidence. Beyond his studies, exploring local culture, tasting traditional foods, and making friends from all corners of the globe drastically deepened his cross-cultural communication skills and global awareness.
This experience did not just improve his communication and academic abilities; it taught him independence, resilience, and open-mindedness. It gifted him precious memories and lifelong skills, laying a rock-solid foundation for future studies and career. He will always cherish this valuable exchange experience and carry the insights and growth gained into every new chapter of life.
