CHUI Tsz Yau (Global Business) embarked on an inspiring journey to Bocconi University in Italy, where she embraced a transformative exchange semester!

My time at Bocconi University was one of the highlights of my academic journey. What I loved most was how flexible the university was in meeting students’ needs — they really understand the importance of balance. I learned that in Italy, being busy and being “lazy” (or simply taking a slow day) are just like espresso and gelato: both are essential, and everyone needs a bit of each! The academic environment was top-notch, while still giving me the space to soak in the Milanese lifestyle, blending hard work with moments of simply enjoying the city.

The travel part of my journey was where I really pushed my limits. A standout memory was heading to Grindelwald, Switzerland 🇨🇭 to climb and try out mountain activities. It was a huge step out of my comfort zone, but the adrenaline rush was totally worth it! Beyond the big thrills, I also loved the more relaxed side of Europe. I spent time chatting with strangers and immersing myself in local culture. Of course, I also visited iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, the Palace of Versailles, and the stunning Keukenhof Gardens in the Netherlands. Each stop taught me something new about the world — and myself.

I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity. This exchange was more than just a break from home; it was a journey of growth that made me more independent and open-minded.
