During the pandemic, CityU Student Residence Office (SRO) came up with innovative ways to help students to learn and participate in online hall activities.

In the “E-Welcome Night sessions!”, our Residence Tutors acted as emcees while the Residence Masters introduced the Student Residence and ex-residents performed singing. The Q&A session was well received by residents too!

SRO and different halls took turns to organise various online activities, such as SPECIAL Hall Night Talks, Singing Workshop, Makeup Workshop, Computer Programming Workshop, Skipping Competition, etc. SRO also worked closely with secondary schools in the neighbourhood by providing online tutorial to secondary students in order to help them with their homework. These activities allow our student residents to live their hall life to the fullest despite the pandemic!
