He regularly attends international conferences and continuing education events, and keeps in close contact with overseas specialists, to keep up to date with the best and most current practices for management of his patient's problems. Dr. Speelman regularly lectures to international and undergraduate veterinary audiences in the region to help other vets remain current in their surgical practice.
