Dr. Yi LU received his bachelor degree of architecture from Southeast University in Nanjing China, his master degree from National University of Singapore, and his PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. He practiced in architectural firms in Singapore and China for several years. Dr. LU is interested in the behavioral impact of built environment; such as how site design of an urban smart development project influence walking, how nursing unit design influence staff behavior. He has published in leading journals such as Environment and Behavior, Environment and Planning B. He has also developed rigorous spatial description of physical environment and related assessment tools.

Dr. LU is currently searching for one Ph.D. student for the coming year.

Accepted Ph.D students will receive a month stipend of HK$16000 for three years. Applicants should 1) have a master degree in the field of architecture, urban planning, or Geography.

2) achieve 85/100, or 3.5/4.0 of GPA in undergraduate and graduate study.

3) preference will be given to the applicants with English/Chinese publications and/or skills in GIS, statistics, computer programming (such as python), Environment-behavior studies, and spatial analysis.
